Meet Your Physical Therapist | Rachel King, DPT, CSCS
“I believe movement has the power to change what people think is possible. My goal is to help people build strength, restore confidence, and continue doing the things that matter most.”
Hi, I’m Dr. Rachel King
I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with over 11 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics. Throughout my career, I’ve helped individuals recover from injury, rebuild strength, and return to the activities that matter most.
Why I Created Elevate Physical Therapy
I created Elevate to provide a different approach to physical therapy — one centered around individualized attention, meaningful progress, and care that fits into your life.
Traditional healthcare models often limit the time and personalization available during each visit. I wanted to create a practice where every session allows the space to truly understand how you move, what you want to return to, and what is needed to help you get there.
Personalized Care. Meaningful Results.
At Elevate, every session is one-on-one and designed around your unique goals. Care combines movement analysis, hands-on treatment, and progressive strengthening to help you recover, build resilience, and move with confidence.
Whether your goal is returning to running, lifting, hiking, traveling, gardening, or simply moving through daily life with less limitation, treatment is tailored to support the activities you value most.
My goal is not only to help you feel better — it is to help you understand your body, build confidence in your movement, and continue progressing long after rehabilitation.
Move better. Feel stronger. Elevate your life.
-
I’ve always enjoyed blending creativity, movement, and connection into both my personal and professional life. Outside of work, you’ll often find me exploring the Pacific Northwest, creating handcrafted driftwood home décor, decorating for the holidays, gardening, or designing unique indoor and outdoor movement-based exercise programs inspired by both nature and performance-focused training. From yoga at Chambers Bay to strength and conditioning-style workouts, I enjoy creating experiences that help people feel stronger, more capable, and more connected to movement in everyday life.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is helping motivated individuals return to the activities that bring them joy and fulfillment. Whether that means hiking, running, gardening, traveling, playing recreational sports, or simply moving through daily life with greater confidence, I love helping people rediscover what their bodies are capable of through individualized care, movement education, and strength-focused rehabilitation.
A few fun facts about me: I’m a proud WSU alum — Go Cougs! I love traveling, animals, photography, hiking, and spending time at Chambers Bay. My floofy 14-year-old gray cat, Nimbus (“Cumulonimbus”), even inspired the name and philosophy behind Elevate Physical Therapy — a reminder that we’re all capable of rising above limitations and reaching new heights.
